Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by a mixed ethnic family. Her father is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mom is English. She was born on a south London council estate, as a teenager, she 14, attended The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was obtained. While attending the school, she was a part-time actor in numerous performances on stage, such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began in the series Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut came from the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. In the following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally, she starred in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi in The ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe starred as the lead character in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy made in 2008. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired at The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge as of February 2011. Madekwe's departure from the series was confirmed in May 2013. Following two seasons as the main character she was a guest in the first episode of season three. From 2014 to the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe got married to her long-time lover, Iddo. They have worked together on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also played a part with her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty and four older brothers -Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's four brothers, all very physically active, were all playing hockey in the winter and baseball during the summer, so that she grew up playing in baseball and arenas. Ashley did not walk, but she danced, so when she was 2 1/2 years old she started Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley discovered her love for dancing at the age of. Ashley continued to compete until her high-school graduation with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and much more. In addition, she won top soloists awards in all major dance contests, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
